While abrasive blasting, sometimes people need to work indoors, and sometimes the job requires outdoors working. If the object is small, it can be done indoor. But if the work requires removing the rust from a truck or car, people must work outdoors. So, portable blast equipment makes work more convenience both indoor and outdoor. This article is going to talk some blast equipment that people need while blasting.

1. Blast Cabinets

With blast cabinets, people can also blast objects with high pressure, and it is blast in a closed space. Therefore, there will be no dust and abrasive particles in the air. Blast cabinets can also recycle the abrasive media, so abrasive media can be used. In addition, the size of blast cabinets is small and can be moved anywhere easily. It is more convenience for work. Blast cabinets can also be used for dry blasting and wet blasting based on your needs.

2. Blast Rooms

Blast rooms can be considered as bigger size of blast cabinets. Just like blast cabinets, blast rooms are also closed space for abrasive blasting. Using abrasive blast room can also prevent abrasive materials mixing with outside air. Just make sure the space is closed. Blast rooms also recycle leftover high-quality abrasive materials, so they can be reused. Moreover, there is a dust collector system. With dust collector, the dust and outside air will not be mixed. This could help save money and time for the company.

3. Nozzles

No matter which type of blasting method people use, nozzles are always needed. There are also variety shapes, sizes, and materials for blast nozzles. The most common material people like to use is tungsten carbide blast nozzle. However, for harder abrasive media, boron carbide and silicon carbide blast nozzles are better choices. For people who want to save money, ceramic nozzles are the best choice.

For smaller objects and require outdoor working, a blast cabinet would be better choice. But for larger objects, blast rooms will be the better choice. No matter which type of blast method, always use nozzles in good-condition, and find the best nozzle that would fit the job requirements.
